Remodelling clothes with purpose

We work with everyday clothing, vintage finds, and garments with personal meaning, shaping each project around what the material can realistically support. That means clear guidance, practical options, and a finish that respects the original piece.

From fit updates to redesign consultations, our approach is built on careful review before any work begins. If a concept needs extra materials or a different direction, we discuss it first so the project stays clear from start to finish.

What guides our work

Our values

Our studio is built around clear communication, realistic planning, and respect for the original garment. Every project is reviewed before it is approved, so you know what can be done and why.

ST

Practical assessment

We look closely at seams, fabric condition, grain, and construction before recommending a direction. That helps keep each quote and project scope realistic.

UP

Thoughtful reuse

Upcycling is not treated as decoration alone. We use the usable parts of a garment to create something functional, wearable, and true to the material available.

FI

Careful fitting

Fit changes are planned around the garment itself, so the outcome depends on the structure and limitations already present. We explain that clearly before any work begins.

AP

Approval at each step

When a redesign needs extra work or materials, we confirm the details before proceeding. That keeps the process transparent from concept review to collection.

Our story

How the studio grew

Our work is shaped by fabric knowledge, careful fitting, and a respect for what already exists. We help clients in Setúbal rethink garments instead of replacing them too soon.

2016

Started in 2016

Tailor Craft Studio began with a simple idea: well-made clothing should be worth keeping, reworking, and wearing again. Since 2016, we have focused on careful alterations and remodelling rather than quick fixes.

Careful assessment first

Clear project review

Each project starts with an inspection of the garment, followed by a clear conversation about fit, structure, and what can be achieved from the existing fabric. If the design needs approval or extra materials, that is explained before work moves forward.

Design approval before work

Made to be worn again

The result is a process that values realism as much as craft. Whether the piece is sentimental, vintage, or simply no longer right as it is, we aim to reshape it into something useful and wearable.
